Relativity

I went to a lovely wedding a few weeks ago. When I say lovely I mean a beautiful destination wedding which cost more money than I would make in 3 years. (If I actually had a full time job that paid. We all know my full time job-motherhood pays in joy and the occasional tantrum.) The entire time I was attending the wedding festivities, I tried to send out loving kindness and blessings even though I'm a bit jaded in the marriage department. But I also couldn't help thinking about what else I could have spent the money on, or the number of meals it could have bought for those in need. When I got back home I took myself on a little shopping trip and bought a few things for the Fall weather. I spent about $40 (don't tell my boyfriend). $40 isn't a ton of money, but more than I needed to be spending. Also it wasn't anything I absolutely needed so couldn't my $40 have been better spent on feeding the homeless? I think it is easy to look at others who have more money than we do and say oh they should be using their money more wisely, but I think we all need to heed that advice. I might not have thousands of dollars that I can give to those in need but I can find ways to share, can't you? After all, it's all relative!! Until next time friends, love and lollipops!!!
